FEES
Fees are much lower at the DC Karate Club than most other clubs because we are a non-profit organization. Instructors and club officials are volunteers and are not compensated for instruction or administrative duties.
Monthly dues are:
| Adult | $150/quarter plus $45 annually for ISKF and insurance |
| Full time student | $120/quarter |
| Youth | $120/quarter |
We offer discounts for families:
| The first family member pays full dues, but all additional family members pay only 50%. For example, one parent plus one child will pay $150+$60 each quarter. |
Additional fees required of members include:
| Rank testing fee | $30/test |
New members who begin in the middle of a quarter may pro-rate their first dues payment.
Regular quarterly dues payments are essential for club operations. Fees are due at the start of the quarter. There will be a late fee of $10 for any payment received after the 10th day of the quarter. Members must give written notice to a club officer, in advance, to have dues waived during a leave of absence.
Checks should be written to DC Karate Club and mailed to Dave Altieri, 1009 Chesapeake Dr, Stevensville, MD 21666. Alternatively, dues payments may be given to any club officer.
Joan Hisaoka Memorial Youth Scholarship
The club offers a scholarship to one child per year. It covers all membership fees and a uniform. We welcome applications from any student with the interest to learn karate, a supportive adult who will facilitate regular training, and the financial need for a scholarship.
